The unholy lovechild of a man and a subwoofer, Jonny ‘Low Notes’ Hedley provides the earth-shattering, faint-inducing bass of the group. Inspired at a young age by hearing Dory speak whale, he vowed to have the lowest voice of any mammal to ever walk the earth. Ever since his voice broke at the age of four, he has been singing bass for audiences around the world, pioneering his new ‘Drum and Bass’ music subgenre: ‘Bass and Bass.’
Cited by lesser basses of the likes of Avi Kaplan and Tim Foust as “the most important thing to happen to the range C1-C2 since the invention of the double bass” and “the reason my wife left me”, he is currently taking a break from his busy touring schedule to sing with the Techtonics and study basicity.
